Master of Computer Applications

Eligibility:- Graduation in Mathematics or Computer Science , BCA from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST holding a valid caste certificate) in aggregate.
Duration:- 2 years post Graduation Degree Program.

The course is designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology . It is a postgraduate course that can be taken up after obtaining a Bachelor's Degree.

The MCA program focuses on providing a sound theoretical background as well as good practical exposure to students in the relevant areas. It is intended to provide a modern, industry oriented education in applied Computer Science. It aims at producing trained professionals who can successfully meet the demands of the information technology industry.

Program Structure The course of MCA is divided into 4 semesters with adequate importance of each semester .
The M.C.A. program has a curriculum, with syllabus consisting of: (a) core courses, which give a broad base in the main field of study in the academic programme concerned; (b) elective courses chosen by the student in consultation with the faculty adviser; (c) laboratory, project work and software design courses where special emphasis is laid on the application of knowledge to real‐life problems.(d) The program will also include seminars and practical training, as prescribed by the Universities and approved by the Academic Council.
